Cody is Signing

After months of attempting to get Cody to say more than just mama and dada and to sign a few words, he has finally picked up on the signing.  He now signs a couple of words (more, eat, all done), working on a few more (please and thank you), and has said a few other words here and there.  Although he is still a little behind the curve on communication, we are enjoying the progress (small baby steps) he has made over the past couple of weeks and look forward to more communication from our little man!

Happy Father's Day

We enjoyed Father's Day this year at the Bockhorst farm.......... enjoying nature, photo shoot with the boys, and some swimming.  Jon really enjoyed his day with Cody.  And to top it off, we got to spend some quality time with family.  Cody and Pops shared a piece of chocolate pie!  

Little Gym Classes

Cody had his first class at The Little Gym this weekend.  After about 10 minutes of doing his usual frozen look as he takes it all in, he warmed up and really enjoyed the class.  He often wandered off and did his own thing, including playing on the various mats.  We are still working on that following directions and organized play thing.  We are looking forward to the next class.

It is amazing how much 1 year (and even 6 months) makes a difference!  They grow up quick.

Pool Side

We had our first pool outing of the summer last weekend.  Thanks to Dana and Brent's friend, Mark, we had a lot of fun swimming in his pool.  Cody loved the slide!

New Sandbox

We finally put together the new sandbox Cody got for Christmas.  He loves it!  For about a week, the first thing he wanted to do after getting home at night was play in his sandbox.

Father/Son Look Alike

We entered Jon and Cody in a father/son look alike contest using this picture.  Unfortunately they didn't win but what a cute picture!  Cody definitely is the spitting image of his father.

Happy Mother's Day

Mommy enjoyed her mother's day hanging out with her family at the park......... we had a picnic lunch, played on the playground, fed the ducks, and just relaxed.  Couldn't have asked for a better day!

New Puppies

Mindy and Dan's dog Jetta had nine puppies a few weeks back.  We took the kids to meet the puppies.  As you can see, Audrina and Brayden LOVED the puppies.  Cody...... not so much!  The one we gave him was whining a lot and scratched Cody so he wanted nothing to do with the puppies up close!
