Fun in the Snow

Cody and I headed outside to give him his first experience with the snow.  I finally had an excuse to dress him in this adorable outfit!  He loved "playing" out in the snow (really we just walked around in the backyard and talked about what we saw).

Bath Time

Cody is not thrilled about bath time these days but at least he doesn't cry anymore.  He just sits there and relaxes and has a serious look on his face.  Oh well, hopefully he enjoys it more soon!

I Am 2 Months Old Today

2 months

1 month

Cody is two months old today.  It is amazing how much he has changed in 1 month.  Not only has he grown in size, he has grown in spirit and is continuing to learn new things every day!  He is truly a blessing and Jon and I are loving all the time we get to spend with him!

Look At The Happy Baby

Over the last couple of weeks, Cody has become a lot more alert and is even smiling some, which Mommy and Daddy love! He continues to love the colors in his bedroom, and especially loves to smile and coo on his changing table.  He even giggled for the first time last night, which we have yet to capture on film. He also can stand up pretty tall, as he was showing off to Aunt Mindy.

My First Ride in the Stroller

Getting outside for a walk in the middle of winter is few and far between.  We took advantage of a day in the high 40s (I know, still not too warm) and bundled Cody up for his first walk around the neighborhood.  He really enjoyed himself, as he slept most of the trip!

I Love To Play

They say it is important to have a ritual before putting a baby down for bed, whether it is listening to music, reading a book, etc.  Ours seems to be we play with Cody on the floor in his room before bedtime.  Here is daddy trying to move his arms and legs like Cody does.  According to Jon, it is harder than Cody makes it look.

 

Cody is still loving his play mat he got from Uncle Lee and Heather.  He loves all the bright colors, lights, and the animals.

Mommy couldn't resist putting Cody's new shades on him before our day out on the town.  What a cool dude!

I Love My Room

Over the past week or so, Cody has really taken a liking to his room and specifically the changing table.  Cody really doesn't scream when you change his diaper anymore as he loves to look around at the bright green walls, the fan, and at the shelf above him.  We have been spending a fair amount of time playing in his room and looking around.

Play Dates

Cody and mommy have had many visitors to the house since he has been born.  A number of our friends have children as well so we have been able to have play dates with the kids.  Here are just a few pictures......  Ben (Sarah and Danny's 9 month old), Emma (Erin and Mike's 11 month old), Miranda (Megan and Jake's 5 year old), and Elizabeth (Rob and Melissa's 4 month old).  Cody already has so many friends and we joke that Elizabeth and Cody are going to prom together!

Happy New Year

2010 was definitely a good year for our family as we welcomed Cody Paul into the world!  We are so blessed and are enjoying every minute with him!  We are hopeful that 2011 will bring lots of health and happiness for our family and friends!
