First Few Weeks of Life.... Some of My Favorite Pics

Carter is now the youngest of 6 cousins on the Phillips side.  Here is the crew all together!

Family tradition...... we have the newborn and mommy with the next youngest cousin..... Carter and Mariah!

One of Carter's first times in his swing..... it is his favorite place to take a nap (besides on Mommy or Daddy)!

Our family picture at the hospital.....

Carter with some awake time looking around!

Go Cardinals..... kicking his feet and getting some exercise with looking around!

We try to give Carter as much floor time and tummy time as possible.  He is starting to be awake and alert more during the day which we all enjoy!

Friends Close In Age

We are very fortunate to have friends with kids around our boys age!  Here is Carter with Harper Joyce (about a month older) and Ian Wallace (3 days older).  Like Cody and Ella, I think these 3 will be good friends growing up.

Carter's First Bath

Like most babies, Carter did not enjoy his first bath.  He did enjoy cuddle time in the towel afterwards though!

Brotherly Love

Cody has really taking a liking to his little brother (when he is not stealing all his attention that is)!  He always wants to kiss him and hold him sometimes and is getting more used to how to handle when Carter cries!!!  He always wants to know where his baby is at!  Although it definitely been an adjustment, Cody is settling into the big brother role nicely!

Welcome Carter Steven Brown

Jon and I welcomed Carter Steven Brown into the world on June 20, 2013 at 6:25pm.  He was 7 pounds 14 ounces and was 21 inches long.  It was love at first sight by all of us and the perfect addition to our family.  We are so blessed and excited to have another Brown boy who looked a lot like Cody at birth (he has since started to get his own look)!

Cody's Half Birthday Glider Pic

2 1/2 years old

It seems like just yesterday our little boy took up only a little section of his glider.  Now, at 2 1/2, he looks so big!  How they grow up fast!

Happy Graduation Day

The long awaited day for the Brown family finally arrived.  Jon graduated from UMSL!  Mommy and Cody couldn't be more proud of Daddy and everything he has worked towards and sacrificed over the past couple of years to get his degree!  Not many people can say they got a college degree while working full time, helping raise a 2 year old, and taking care of his pregnant wife (which is not always easy)!  Jon, we are so proud of you more than words can say!

Happy Mommy's Day

What a great feeling it is to be a mommy!  I cherish all the time I get to spend with Cody and all the adventures we have.  I can't believe I am fortunate enough to be a mommy to another boy coming up here soon!  I am truly blessed!

Choo-Choo

Cody has really taking a liking to choo-choos recently.  It started when we took him to see all the neat trains and cars at the Transportation Museum a while back.  He loved going through all the trains!  It was a 2 year olds dream come true!  Now he loves playing with his train set at home.

My First School Play

Cody had his first school play at St. Charles Community College.  Each 2 year old class was on stage for about 5 minutes.  They were asked to sing and dance around.  Cody wasn't too sure about the whole thing and stayed pretty close to "Ms. Chris".  Mommy was able to attend because she had pink eye but Daddy said it was entertaining.  Our little boy is growing up quick!
