Happy Birthday Cody

It is hard to believe it has already been a year since our precious little Cody blessed our life.  What a great year it has been!  Cody had his first of two parties this weekend with his family (grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins).  Although he liked opening presents and playing with his new stuff, his favoritie part of the night was eating his first cake!  Mommy worked really hard on making Cody his first cake and Cody definitely appreciated it!

Daddy You Are Funny

It is so fun and priceless to do something silly and your son really gets a kick out of it.  So you find yourself doing the same silly thing like 20 times so he will keep laughing.  Here is a classic example.  Enjoy!

Almost Walking

Watch as Cody uses his new cart/car to stroll down the hallway.  One step closer to our little man walking!

Fun In The Leaves

Nothing better on a Fall day than playing in the leaves.  Yes, I raked a pile of leaves in the backyard just so we could play in it!  Cody had a great time!

Brushing My Teeth

Since Cody now has 7 teeth, thought it was time to buy him a big boy tooth brush and teach him how to brush his own teeth.  He is picking up the concept really well (although he still seems to want to put everything in his mouth)!

Happy Halloween

As you can see by the smiles, Cody really enjoyed his first Halloween and his Tigger costume.  He did some trick or treating to a few of the neighbor houses and helped hand out candy.

Pumpkin 5K Run

Mommy ran in her first 5K this weekend accompanied by Cody and Daddy.  It was a beautiful morning for a run and we all had a great time!  Look at that cute hat Cody is wearing!

Help In the Kitchen

Recently Cody loves to be with Mommy while she does things in the kitchen.  He often tries to climb into the dishwasher when I am loading/unloading it.  As soon as the refrigerator opens, he is right there ready to help Mommy get things out, his favorite being the milk.  He also has been known to get out some pots and pans and bang them with a wooden spoon.  It makes cooking time lots of fun having such a helpful son!

We Are the Champions

Cody was just as happy as Mommy and Daddy to see the Cardinals win the World Series.  Throughout the last couple of weeks, whenever Mommy would chant "Go Cardinals" Cody would get so excited and sometimes giggle.  He looks so adorable in his Cardinals gear!

I Love Food

If there is one thing Cody loves and gets so excited about, it would be food!  I made spaghetti the other night and Cody had his first attempt at feeding himself with plate and utensils.  He had a ball (although not sure now much actually made it into his mouth) and was covered in spaghetti when he was done!
